See Angelina's New Engagement Ring!

The first glimpse of the actress' new diamond ring

The news of one of Hollywood's hottest couples getting engaged has finally surfaced! Brad Pitt presented Angelina Jolie with a unique Table cut diamond ring worth a reported $250,000!

Jolie was seen wearing a diamond on her ring finger while at a benefit Wednesday night at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. This stunner was hard to miss~ Marisa Guthrie, senior writer for The Hollywood Reporter reported the story first, and since then the buzz has centered around the unusually cut stone chosen for the ring.

Beverly Hills jeweler Robert Procop confirmed to USA Today that he collaborated with Brad to create the perfect engagement ring for Angelina: “Brad had a specific vision for this ring, which he realized over a yearlong collaboration with Robert. He wanted every aspect of it to be perfect, so Robert was able to locate a diamond of the finest quality and cut it to an exact custom size and shape to suit Angelina’s hand. . . . Brad was always heavily involved, overseeing every aspect of the creative design evolution. The side diamonds are specially cut to encircle her finger. Each diamond is of the highest gem quality.”

What is the Antique Table Cut Diamond? A table cut diamond has a flat top, like an ordinary table. All four of the sides have a simple facet similar to a bevel. These diamonds were initially created in the 16th century, but were more commonly seen from the 17th through the earlier 18th century in jewelry.

For customers who love the look of antique cut stones, Diamond Nexus can custom make nearly any stone cut with our Nexus Design Studio at a fraction of the cost of what Brad Pitt spent on Angelina's engagement ring. So the look of Hollywood glamour has never been easier to get than with now, with Diamond Nexus' affordable engagement rings, which are also the eco-friendly engagement ring choice of people across the planet.

Too bad this philanthropic couple hadn't checked into an option like ours and used the saved money to much better use. But we wish them much happiness as they plan their wedding, which will no doubt be fabulous! They have an adorable brood of children to hopefully be part of thier nuptials. We can imagine how cute they will all be,  in mini-tuxes and dresses!
