With just a little over one week left until the Titanic’s
big 100th anniversary, people across the world are putting the
finishing touches on their plans for commemoration. Of course, there’s been a lot of buzz in
Hollywood lately about the re-release of the James Cameron film Titanic in 3D. But “Titanic fever” doesn’t stop there. There are books, documentaries, and even a Titanic twitter feed hosted by The History Press so that people can
follow the minute-by-minute progress of the ship’s voyage as it was 100 years
ago. (The Titanic didn’t leave port
until April 10th, so prior to that, you can see details of the
ship’s construction, outfitting, early advertisements, and other preparations.)
Here at Diamond Nexus,
we’ve also got a little special something to offer. Our ever-popular e-Steals event is making a comeback, and we decided to start things
off with a few Edwardian-style pieces for you history buffs out there. This week’s collection features a pair of
triple-tiered earrings (now sold out!) and two elegant ladies’ rings. The elaborate metalworking and subtle domed,
tapered shape of these rings is classic of the period, both as engagement
pieces and cocktail rings.
These beauties are one-of-a-kind and will only be available
for one week, (or until they’re snatched up,) so don’t wait too long!
