An Earthy~Inspired event can be a lot of fun to plan. With the rich colors of nature as the backdrop, the only limit is literally your own imagination. Some of the smallest details will be the most memorable to your guests!
1. You can go all out and email your invites, make some by hand using brown paper bags, or send your guests beautiful recycled paper invitations such as these:

2. You can request that your guests come to the party using another form of transportation. What in the world would that be, you ask? Think Walk, Bike, Carpool or Public Transportation~ It can be a lot of fun and also a great way for newly acquainted friends get to spend some time together. Your friends will bond and you can feel better, knowing that your party didn't impact the environment as much as it could have, if ten different cars drove to your house!

3. The best food ideas for a party like this would include plenty of locally grown vegetables and healthy alternative grains, which combined can make for some delicious recipes that will be appetizing and very healthy as well~ Here is a recipe that I love for a yummy fall soup that will be mouth-watering and easy to make!
Curried Lentil Soup with Chickpea Purée

4 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 medium carrot, finely chopped
- 2 large garlic cloves, chopped, divided
- 2 tablespoons curry powder, or more to taste
- 1 cup French green lentils
- 4 cups water
- 1 15-ounce can chickpeas, drained, rinsed
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 lemon, cut into wedges
Directions
-
In a large heavy pot, heat half the olive oil over medium heat until shimmering. Add onion and carrot, season with a pinch of salt and pepper, and cook until onion is translucent, 5-7 minutes. Add garlic and cook for an additional 2 minutes, then stir in curry powder. Cook, stirring constantly to prevent spices from burning, until spices are fragrant.
-
Add lentils and water and bring to a boil. Season with salt and pepper, reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer until lentils are tender, about 30 minutes.
-
In the meantime, puree chickpeas, lemon juice, remaining olive oil, and 1/4 cup of water. Stir puree into lentils, along with butter. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and/or additional curry powder, then thin soup with water until desired consistency.
Divide amongst soup bowls and serve garnished with green onion and with lemons on the side.
Dinner is served! Make sure not to use throw away plates. This Earth-friendly party requires dishwashing to reduce waste
4. Now it is time to get ready for the party! What are you going to wear? With Diamond Nexus you can be relieved to know that you are wearing jewelry that is eco-friendly and affordable as well. You are able to have beautiful stones that are man made diamond simulants, which means they are not damaging the environment to get you a gorgeous piece of jewelry. Like I always say, we take REALLY good care of our lab- workers ;)
Some cute ideas that I personally love from Diamond Nexus would include some of these pieces.

The Wisteria Pendant is bold and beautiful, while it inspires the feel for nature with clear human made diamond simulants and lab created emeralds to give you a fantastic piece of heirloom quality jewelry that has been made truly conflict-free!

To coordinate with the Wisteria pendant, I would pair it with the dainty Getaway earrings with synthetic Emeralds surrounding our clear created diamond alternative center stones!

If this party is more for the nature-loving couple who is getting engaged, perhaps you need an affordable engagement ring to pull in the feel of nature and romantic whimsey. I recommend the Morning Glory with it's graceful vinework detailing and accent stones set in the band like dewdrops.
Have fun planning for the right party and stay tuned! More cool theme parties coming your way soon!
