This winter’s top footwear styles

For those of us that face a cold winter season, it can be tough to find footwear that looks great but holds up in the elements.  Being that Diamond Nexus Labs is in the cold state of Wisconsin, we figured we would help our lady readers out with a few styles to try.

Booties
Although many do come with open toes, if you’re able to find a closed toe bootie, it is a great way to achieve a nice high heel look, without being afraid of stepping in snow.  These may be the coldest option we came across but they also allow you to wear them year round.  Here are a few affordable options that we really like:

Ankle boots
The perfect hybrid between a heel and a full boot, ankle boots allow you wear thick winter socks without feeling or looking like an Eskimo.  Perfect with a nice pair of jeans, these are the perfect shoe for the woman that has to spend her day running around town.  Here are some affordable options to check out:

Knee high boots
Keep the elements out and the style on! Knee high boots are the hot, hot footwear of this season.  Perfect with a pair of skinny jeans, these boots do the talking while keeping you warm all winter long!

  1. I have a pair just like the first booties shown and they are SO hard to walk in! But they're cute so I deal with it. I recover with my ankle boots for the next day or two to get over it. Great post! :)

  2. I love the boots but would love even more a section with flat or flatter (yet non-grandma-ish) boots for those of us with balance issues/have a kiddo!
