Congratulations to the new Miss Universe!
Congratulations to the new Miss Universe – Miss Stefania Fernandez from Venezuela. For the first time in Miss Universe history, the same nation won the contest for two years in a row! Last year's Miss Universe was Dayana Mendoza from Venezuela.
The crown that illuminates Miss Universe 2009 Stefania Fernandez was selected by the votes of thousands of people across the globe via Diamond Nexus Labs’ “Choose The Crown” website. Of the three potential crown designs – Hope, Peace, and Unity – Peace was the ultimate winner.
This crown, arrayed with over a thousand pristine lab-created jewels, is accented by a series of deep, flawless cultured rubies to represent Miss Universe’s tireless campaign to promote HIV/AIDS awareness and education. DNL Headed to the Bahamas for Miss Universe 2009!
A few members of the Diamond Nexus staff left today for Paradise, Island in the Bahamas! As contestants take part in the preliminary events including evening gowns, photo shoots, charity events and interviews, it all comes to an end in three days. On Sunday, August 23rd, a new Miss Universe 2009 will be crowned with the beautiful Diamond Nexus Labs crown.
Miss Universe will air live on August 23rd from 9-11pm (EST), on NBC and Telemundo. And for the first time ever, pageant fans all over the world can visit Choose the Crown for an unprecedented chance to select Miss Universe 2009’s crown! Voters are automatically entered into a sweepstakes to win a three-day, two-night trip for two to New York City. The winner will also receive an opportunity to attend a VIP event with Miss Universe 2009, a $5,000 Diamond Nexus Labs shopping spree and a night out in the Big Apple with dinner and tickets to a Broadway show!

Just Married! Nicole and Damien Walk Down the Aisle in DNL Style
Congratulations to New York’s ‘Biggest Loser’ couple – the new Mr. and Mrs. Damien Gurganious! Nicole and Damien tied the knot today in Long Island City, NY after losing a combined 264 pounds! Diamond Nexus Labs was thrilled to be a part of their special day by providing jewelry for the bridal party. Bridesmaids wore the Island Girl pendant and Leto pear cut drop earrings and Nicole chose between a few different pairs of earrings – including Dew, Never Too Late and the Ida’s.
As a tribute to her late mother, Nicole also wore a beautiful Wisdom of the Heart ring on her right ring finger. The Wisdom of the Heart ring features an innovative hinged band, designed to open lengthwise to reveal a loving message inscribed in the center. Nicole’s ring is engraved to remind her that her mom is always with her – especially on her wedding day.

Diamond Nexus Labs to Present at Franklin Public Library
Join Diamond Nexus Labs (Franklin, WI) on Wednesday, August 5th, at the Franklin Public Library, 9151 West Loomis Road, from 6:30 to 8:15 for a program entitled: “Diamonds---A Girl's Gotta Find a New Best Friend!"

Congratulations to Stormi Bree Henley, Miss Tennessee Teen USA! She was crowned Miss Teen USA 2009 at the beautiful Atlantis, Paradise Island in the Bahamas on July 31, 2009. The 18-year old winner is from Crossville, TN. For the first time ever, the Miss Teen USA pageant was streamed online to a worldwide audience at www.missteenusa.com.
